I’tilaf
One of the rhetorical styles used in the Quran is the technique of I’tilaf (harmony). I’tilaf refers to the harmony and compatibility between the words used in the speech, as well as between the words and the intended meanings of the speaker, in terms of familiarity or unfamiliarity, eloquence, and grandeur. It also ensures that the fawasil (the concluding words or phrases of a verse) are placed in their appropriate positions without any inconsistency or complexity, achieving complete harmony and alignment with the overall meaning of the text.
