Iqtidar (mastery)

One of the rhetorical beauties of the Quran is the technique of Iqtidar (mastery). When a speaker expresses a single meaning or theme in various forms, their ability to organize and structure speech, as well as to convey meanings and purposes in diverse forms, becomes evident. For example, sometimes they may use metaphor, other times rhetorical devices like ardaf (juxtaposition), or express their intent through literal, metaphorical, or concise language.

Ibn Abi al-Isba’ says: The technique of Iqtidar is present in all the stories of the Quran; because sometimes a single story with the same theme is expressed in various forms, yet none of them resemble each other, even though their meanings are the same.
